Inanimate objects are, by definition, incapable of doing anything at all. The only way to kill something, or someone, is with intent, and one must be alive to have intent. WHAT YOU USE to kill is irrelevant--whether it is a car, a knife, a club, a gun, or your fist.

The only way guns kill "by accident" is when some feckless dumbshite leaves one around, loaded, where some kid can find it and play with it. Typically, the feckless dumbshite hasn't bothered to teach his/her kids gun safety, usually because he/she doesn't know what that is to begin with. Like YOU, for instance. |

Too many gun owners are not scared of what there guns can do to them ......................

A gun is really just a machine. The operator of the machine is what makes it dangerous. If you turn a untrained person loose with a welding rig, something bad is bound to happen. Same with guns. If the user is reckless and uneducated, nothing good can result of it.
I have many guns. I possess my permit to carry, I have been through extensive training and background checks, still I pray the day never comes I actually have to use my gun to hurt or kill another being. |
