| you could always try a semi permanent as long as two bottles are not mixed together you will be fine if two bottles are mixed then it is permanent.you can also get coloured mousses that wash ok.either of these will be fine and will not affect the long term look of your hair |

| Hey, thanks, I was hoping to get it done properly though so it'd last the whole time that I was away - is this likely to alter my natural hair colour for good? |

| if you dye blonde brown you need to make sure the brown has a reddish base or the colour will not be good! |

hiya im also naturally blonde with blue eyes and really pale skin it was getting a bit boring though after a while. i felt like i looked washed out and so when i was 12 i took the plunge and went very dark brown and loved it! the responces off people were great every1 else liked it and now people dont believe me when i say im naturally blonde. I think it makes my look warmer plus it doesn't need washing as much as its harder to tell when its greasy! i will be waiting along time before i go back to blonde im having so much fun trying new looks which compliment my hair

I'm going dark on Saturday....I've been blonde all my life but feel like a change. I'm hoping it will make me look a bit more grown up....a bit nervous about it tho

If you have pale skin you do not want to go too darker brown as it will just make you look even more pale and washed out, brown and really lite blond streaks is a good look i think |

When I was younger i had bleach blonde hair and as i got older my hair got darker, a few years ago i started dying my hair back to a really light blonde like i used to have, but my hair grows so fast and i have to constantly get my hair dyed. as i get older my roots get darker. my parents keep telling me that i should dye my hair brown what do you think?
< i think it might be easier for me and even healthier because i would not have to get my hair dyed as often and my roots would probably match up to my hair color better. |

i naturally grew up having medium golden blonde hair, but as i started growing up, my hair got a little darker. i didn't mind, it was still blonde after all, but my eyebrows also got darker. now i have brown eyebrows (which have not been colored) so two years ago i decided to dye my hair brown. i have always been too scared to use box color so i went to the hairstylist i have used all my life. long story short, i LOVE having brown hair. even my family says it looks more natural than the blonde i was born with. if your stylist thinks brown would look good on you, go for it! it's just as much fun to play with: in fall and winter i opt for darker brown and when the weather starts to warm up, i add some lighter brown in the mix. all i can say is i am never going back to my blonde roots (which never even really show, as long as you go to a professional)!! |

I've been getting blonde highlights in my hair for over a year now, and its just got too blonde for my liking, so i was thinking of going back to my natural colour which is a mousy brown/dark blonde. I've heard stripping hair colour is really really bad for your hair so i don't want to get that done, but i was just wondering if anyone with similar hair colour has tried just dying it back to their natural colour? I still have my natural colour underneath so it's not all blonde, but i just don't know what would be best to get it all back to my natural colour!
