anyone outthere got inverted nipples? what have you done about them? I've tried nipplettes which bring them out and make them amazingly erect during sex but after a few days they can start going back in again. maybe i'm not using them enought????

Im 16 and also have inverted nipples. Ive tried a suction pump but afta a couple of days it went bak to normal. I would really love to have surgery but I think you have to be 18- is that right?

Hi- don't know about the age thing..... just hate the idea of someone doing surgery on them! ouch! the pump things you use must be the same as the niplettes I use (got them from Boots) - women who are pregnant or just given birth use them to help them breast feed too. They've made a difference to me - my last b/f said that I had amazing nips and never knew. but you have to use them for days or weeks to make any lasting difference. Does anyone know how long it will take to make a permanent change?

I'm not sure about the pumps and stuff....but the surgery thing, it can make you loose all feeling right?? I think I'd rather have nipples that come out every now and again than loose all feeling at all Sad

yeah right - and scarring..... If I use the pumps for a couple of days my nips aer great for a week or two and the sensation is great and I love the way they get really erect, but how long would I need to use them for anything more permanent? will i have to keep re-using them for ever?

I had both nipples inverted (one more than the other) and used nippletes for about 3 months. The one that was less inverted, completely corrected itself, the other one didn't but is much less inverted now. I'm going to try it just on that one for another 3 months. I wore them day and night.

How do you manage to wear them during the normal day without it looking really strange?

I tried to use niplette but they would come off in the night while i was asleep and during the day it was really inconvenient to try to wear them without anyone noticing.

thinking about surgery but I would love it if the niplette would work

Hello, its good to hear from people who have the same problem.

I also used the niplette and it helped but was very uncomfortable and difficult to hide.
Also, after stopping using it after the recommended time they went straight back to how they were!

I am very seriously considering surgery now as I feel its my only option, I want to discuss it with my doctor soon when I can overcome the embarrassment!
I also worry about not being able to breastfeed after as Im 22 and will want kids one day.

Its good to hear other peoples experiences.
Also, has anyone actually had the surgery? Would you recommend it?

Thanks!

Piercing inverted nipples will turn them the right way out, and is a lot cheaper than cosmetic surgery. I seem to remember an article on BMEzine saying that this is what some cosmetic surgeons do anyway since the piercing can be removed and the nipple shouldn't reinvert itself. There's an example at this link (not worksafe):

Well I went to see my doctor, she made me feel really at ease and said theres no need to be embarrassed as lots of people come to her with this problem.

She said its a very simple surgical procedure and I will be able to breast feed after and she gave me the number for a surgeon.

All I have to do now is find out how mch it will be, eek!

hi Rudy77,
Did you get your surgery yet? If you did, was it painful? I have the same problem and am planning to get surgery as well. I haven't seen any doctors yet, I'm still searching for the right doctor in my area. It is going to be so akward telling my doc about my problem.

Thanks,
alexs

yes, the surgery is a rather simple procedure, and if you don't want to spend much, it can be really inexpensive if done abroad...like eastern Europe, where Czech Republic has become pretty popular for people from UK wanting low cost but high quality plastic surgery...in any case, here's an article i found that gives some good info and prices as well for the surgical correction of inverted nipples:

good luck, hope it helps!

The pure and simple answer is you need to tone the breastal area up. Im not saying become a body builder cause too much muscle on a woman tends to be a turn off for the majority of men. But try getting into jogging and do some light exercises designed for the chest. Trust me this has fast and effective results. The downside is that you need to keep the exercise up permanently but if you look at it statistically inverted nipples occure far more often in heavy people
