why do people lie?

This post had me interested, because we all have different point of views and many conversations, if there where based just on fact would not be very interesting, you would have to have a photographic memory to accurately recorded the truth of every statement that has been said to you or what you have said.
Also what you have experienced is dependant on how you where feeling at the time and how you are feeling at the moment you record the event. It is natural to embellish stories and make them favourable in some way. I know when people lie it can be frustrating, but you don’t have to believe them and also accept that there may be some truth in they are saying. All you have to do when you don’t believe something, just calmly say I don’t believe that. As I don’t believe insulting people is the best way to handle the situation.

A little lie works when they are little, and they find quickly in life that that it's easier to lie their way out of embarrassment and punishment, than to truthfully take responsibility for their misgivings and errors and accidents.. thus lying becomes their MO... Add that to stealing, and bullying and you've got yourself a typical all-around asshole, void of love, dignity, respect, truth, reality, and humanity, like most people today, yesterday, and tomorrow...

How do you know they're lying..? They shift their eyes to the side momentarily, the moment they begin to tell their lie... You see it on TV a lot with religious teachers and politicians... Now days you never know if someone is lying or truthful... It seems that truth is a lost art...

lying is the easy way out, it's only logical that people would lie every day, at every moment something is about to go wrong. lying prevents conflict, and with all the "convenience" we have today, noone wants conflict, they will do whatever possible to avoid it, just to make their life easier. yet they still complain about the things that don't go their way because of their lies being revealed. hypocrites? yeah, countless people are.

The culture is based upon LIES, Lies, and more lies... Everything we conclude of reality is a misinterpretation of what we conceive of tiny bits of reality.. mostly based upon fear, pain, guilt, and worry... We lie to cover and justify the Lies... We must lie to survive in this culture... Even our governments must lie, to cover for the fact that democracy is a parasite to humanity, suckling on the masses lives to maintain the Crime...
But it's not without bad Karmas.. for when we die all the lies fall off, and we are faced with only the incomprehensible truth.. the truth that we have nothing but empty lies...
