Watch it cheeky!

Are you this cheeky when you're leading out your regiment or whatever?

I was known on occasion to do not too different.

Once around and about 2000/2001 I made them go on quite a lengthy (nothing great but good enough) run, it was about 4 miles due to bad drill. They then came back drilled again badly, so I made them do it again. They then came back again and drilled badly, so I made them do it yet again. After that - they came back and got it right.

They were knackered but they deserved it. Can't beat discipline.

My drills were long, but I had among the very best troops the UK can offer. :D

I know if myron reads this he'll say something along the lines of "good drill but nothing else". Not so! I pushed them much harder in training than in drill.

This is a famous example of drill:

This is basic training:

More of the same, but with more combat training:

And just for information, this is basic stuff about officer's training (but this is the TA, which is different from the Regular Army)

Hope this explains it quite well! :)

I think there are a lot of clever people here who might take offense to that statement.

Not many. There are some notable clever people, but the rest have IQ's of minus 170.

I take offence at "offence" being spelled incorrectly as "offense".

American "English" is a far cry from the Queen's English.
