Would you give a spare key to your girlmate and let her drive it alone for a day?

My g/f would be able to have a spare key just incase, but she can't drive it. Besides, its manual, she doesn't know how to drive it Very Happy

My "Girlmate" has a spare key to my car. She's a good driver, enjoys the car I have and is more careful with it than I am.

My Girlmate from 8 years back. I gave her a key and the very first thing she did was scrape the passenger side of the car down the garage wall - damaged the wing, two doors and the rear quarter panel. I said "...don't worry, you're used to the car now, its only tin and paint." The next day she ran it into a kerb at 80kph and cost me a wheel and some suspension components. After that I gave her a car so that she wouldn't destroy mine...come to think of it she wasn't that dumb after all!

No way I would do such a thing.

I was petrified when I had to let her drive my daily driver. lol She has a Vortec V6 4-door 2wd Blazer - the definition of anemic and sloppy. Handing her the key to a 360ci (5.9L) V8 in a tightened down Dakota R/T was the true definition of love. (and work mandated expediency lol)

She did ok though. But only because it was dry and she was petrified.

She would never (that I can imagine) be given the key to the WS6 though. Not that she could even manage to drive it, being a manual anyway. Plus she's afraid of it and flat out said, even without me bringing it up, that there is no what she'd ever want to drive that beast. lol Cool

she has her own car, both are equipped with OnStar. So if either of us locks out, we just give OS a call, and they unlock. Spare keys are kept on key rack.
