Duffy Axed From Welsh Concert....

Welsh singer Duffy was once dropped from headlining a concert in her native Wales - because her lyrics were English.

The 24-year-old was scheduled to play at the Pwllheli arts festival when the Welsh Language Board complained.

Music promoter Paul Brett says, "On the day of the show, I had a nervous and somewhat embarrassed call to tell me that the board had insisted that Duffy was taken from the show because she was singing in English."

A spokesman for the Board says it has "no recollection" of the incident.
