Kaiser Chiefs' Mark miss

Kaiser Chiefs' new album came about because they missed Mark Ronson.

The rockers say they were only planning to record latest single 'Never Miss A Beat' with the producer but ended up recording all of 'Off With Their Heads' with him because they pined for their sessions with the 'Valerie' hitmaker.

Frontman Ricky Wilson explained: "We know Mark so we met him and had dinner with him. He said he'd like to do some recording and we wanted to go into the studio to lay down the single.

"So we went in the studio with him for two weeks and made three songs. Then we kind of missed it and wanted to get back in the studio with him. So we did."

Ricky said the band particularly enjoyed their time with Mark because it didn't feel like work.

He added to BBC Newsbeat: "It was great doing stuff with him because it didn't feel like work and we got a lot of stuff done. It felt like we were messing around."

'Off With Their Heads' is released on October 20.
