Nick Hodgson's stolen album moan

2 months ago 24th Oct 13:15

Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson felt like he'd been burgled when he was told the band's new album had been leaked on the internet.

The musician thinks it is wrong people could download the LP, 'Off With Their Heads', for free ahead of its' official release date this week.

He told British radio station XFM: "We felt a little bit robbed. Not literally, but I searched 'Kaiser Chiefs blogs' in Google - sorry, it's what I do. Suddenly it was all 'Kaiser Chiefs Off With Their Heads, Kaiser Chiefs Off With Their Heads'.

"There was millions of them. It felt a little bit like somebody had burgled your house. It was a bit gloomy."

Hodgson isn't the first rocker to attack music dowloads this week.

AC/DC guitarist Angus Young claimed the internet is destroying the art of making albums.

The musician - whose band is one of a handful of acts who refuse to make their music available on iTunes - said: "The problem I have with iTunes is that it just does the single thing, single tracks you know. We made these songs as albums. Part of it is probably the way we are. But I mean we've sold 20 million records in the last eight years so obviously our fans still like the physical product."
