Anna Sui is on a mission to save New York fashion by launching a protest tshirt.
The designer is supporting the famous Garment District by appealing for fashion fans to help it's dying manufacturing and production industry.
Anna has launched a tshirt asking us to "Save the Garment Centre" with the email addresses of important New York officials on the back.
"The CFDA and many other people have been working to try and come up with a solution for the Garment Centre. It's a really difficult process but the longer it goes on, the more businesses will have to leave because they lost their leases or their landlords are raising rents," said the designer to wwd.
"I understand that it's all business, but where are we going to go? What are we going to do? In my lifetime, I have seen the area changing, but I can't believe New York can't set aside some building designated to preserving the industry here."
