Vin Diesel is know as movie's hard man with a string of action roles including Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick under his belt.
What many don't know is that in 1997 he wrote, produced and directed Strays, a coming-of-age tale takes an uncompromising look at Vin’s own experiences growing up in New York City.
The film went on to be nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance on its release in 1997 and brought a young Vin Diesel to the attention of Hollywood.
Later this month Strays come to DVD in the UK for the first time.
I started acting when I was seven years old. By the time I was seventeen I would say ‘If I’m not a star by the time I’m eighteen, I’ll get out of the business.’
I had the experience of seeing my father direct theatre. My father would take me to his theatre rehearsals and he would direct these actors.
