In today's Daily rap Keyshia Cole's proposal to fella Young Jeezy turned down, Nas signs deal with clothing company Fila, tell all book on Mos Def to be released and LL Cool J prepares for the release of album Exit 13.
Turns out that Oakland CA., native Keyshia Cole was the one wearing the pants in her relationship with Atlanta based rapper Young Jeezy. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine Jeezy went on the record to say that the couple who had tried to deny their romantic involvement were in fact very much a couple.
In fact so much so that the R&B singer went ahead and bought a ring for Jeezy and proposed. Unfortunately the Def Jam rapper had to decline the offer as he didn’t think he was in a position in his life where he could make that commitment.
The interview also explains Jeezy’s politics for the impending presidential election, where he like many believe ‘a change’ will come with Barrack Obama in office.
Nas, the notorious Queensbridge rapper who has shocked the world with titles of his recent albums has inked a deal with Fila. Nas who generally avoids aligning himself with major brands and sponsors has signed a one year deal with the clothing company to help promote his impending album release on July 15th.
Fila, one of the powerhouse sports apparel lines of the eighties will provide financial help for print and TV ad campaigns for the rappers second album on Def Jam. In return Nas will wear Fila products.
"One of my executives spotted Nas shopping in our Manhattan store and struck up a conversation with him," Fila President John Epstein says. "Nas isn't interested in selling out. He's interested in being true, and that fits with our brand."
