Spain's King Juan Carlos took part in a premier yachting event in Majorca this week.
The king - who is currently on holiday on the island with his family - skippered the royal vessel Bribon for the King's Cup, one of the most renowned events in the international yachting calendar.
The monarch - who is a keen sailor and was a member of Spain's 1972 Olympic sailing team in Munich - briefly lost his footing while aboard the vessel.
The 70-year-old stumbled across the boat but quickly managed to recover, and soon resumed his position at the wheel.
The King's Cup is so well known it draws an elite crowd to the Balearic isle each year.
The king's granddaughters - two-year-old Princess Leanor and 15-month-old Princess Sofia - looked on from the shore.
Dressed in matching sun frocks, the princesses walked to the quay with their parents Crown Prince Felipe and Princess Letzia.
