Paul Burrell's Diana memorabilia

3 months ago 03rd Jul 14:00

Britain's Princess Diana's former butler is set to ship his valuable memorabilia collection to America.

Paul Burrell - who worked for the princess for ten years until her death in 1997 - amassed an extensive collection of royal items while working for Diana and wants to have it moved over to his new home.

The former servant and his wife Maria recently put their £500,000 home in Farndon, Cheshire, England, on the market as they prepare to settle permanently in Florida.

A source told Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "A lot of Paul's Diana items are still in Farndon. It's understood they'll be moved to America once the house is sold.

"It makes sense for Paul to have his Diana-related possessions in America now."

The house sale sparked rumours about the future of Paul's marriage.

A source said: "People have been really surprised to see the 'for sale' sign go up. We can only wonder what this means for Paul and his wife Maria as far as his marriage goes. This seems to suggest that she is also feeling the need to move on."
