Prince Andrew to reconcile with Fergie?

1 month ago 13th Oct 14:00

Britain's Prince Andrew is reportedly considering a reconciliation with his ex-wife.

Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, split in 1992 but have remained close friends, and now royal sources claim his parents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, are keen for them to get back together, because they don't want him marrying anyone else.

A source said: "It used to be a bit of as joke that whenever Andrew showed too much interest in girls like Amanda Stavely or Angie Everhart, the queen promptly issued an invitation to Fergie for afternoon tea at Windsor."

Friends reportedly think Andrew is "not to be trusted" when searching for a new potential bride-to-be and close pals are also worried about some of his friends.

A source added to Britain's Sunday Express newspaper: "Prince Andrew is not the wisest when it comes to picking his friends and it helps to have Sarah around as a restraining influence. Actually, some of us rather like her and respect the way she has turned her life around."

The royal family's attitude towards the duchess reportedly changed following a meeting with her to discuss plans for her eldest daughter Beatrice's 20th birthday celebrations, and the queen is now said to be considering inviting Sarah to spend Christmas with the family for the first time in 10 years.
