Prince Charles' suit change

2 months ago 18th Jul 14:00

Britain's Price Charles has stopped buying his suits from exclusive London tailor Anderson and Sheppard.

Instead, the prince has started purchasing his outfits from Turnbull and Asser , the shop owned by Mohamed Al Fayed' s brother Ali.

Tom Hitchcock, the managing director of Anderson and Sheppard, confirmed Charles is no longer a customer to Britain's The Daily Telegraph newspaper, adding: "It's a shame but we don't do his suits any more. We've designed about 40 suits for him over 20 years and I was the one who measured him up.

"It's disappointing he doesn't come to us any more as you would have thought that the future king of England would like to have a Savile Row suit. He still wears our stuff but I understand he uses some other tailor now."

While a spokesperson for Charles' London residence Clarence House has refused to comment, Ali Fayed said: "If Prince Charles wishes to emulate my elegance then he's most welcome. After all, I have heard that imitation is the highest form of flattery."
