Sarah Ferguson's NHS help

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, wants to advise Britain's National Health Service on obesity issues.

Sarah - currently a WeightWatchers spokesperson in America - is keen to get involved in tackling the anti-obesity campaign health secretary Alan Johnson is currently promoting, following the success of her TV documentary 'The Duchess in Hull'.

A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Sarah has been in talks with the NHS. She is keen to become involved in its obesity initiatives.

"She was aware of Mr Johnson's launch of a cross-government strategy on obesity earlier this year.

'The Duchess in Hull' focused on Sarah's efforts to help an overweight family living on a run-down estate improve their lifestyles and eating habits.

It was announced yesterday (27.05.08), Sarah - who has battled her own weight problems in the past - hopes to launch her own range of healthy ready meals with one of Britain's leading supermarkets.
