Camilla's school visit

7 months ago 23rd Apr 14:00

The Duchess of Cornwall was greeted with flowers as she visited a school in the West Midlands yesterday (22.04.08).

Camilla, wife of Prince Charles, arrived at the school in Stourbridge, where she was met by a line of flag-waving youngsters.

Head boy Joshua Oakley and head girl Sophia Ahmed then presented the duchess with a posy of flowers, before one excited pupil hugged Camilla.

The duchess was visiting the school to find out more about its work with the borough's branch of the National Osteoporosis Society, the charity which she is head of.

Ken Strike, a volunteer for the National Osteoporosis Society volunteer, said: "We were thrilled to have our president visit and see the work that has been done with the Dudley Health Promoting Schools Service."

Councillor Liz Walker added: "She's been wonderful. She was genuinely interested and very engaging."
