England Skipper Michael Vaughan He Will Not Dwell On a Draw

24-07-2007 10:02

England skipper Michael Vaughan says he will not be dwelling on the draw with India at Lord's with the second Test starting at Trent Bridge on Friday.

England were denied victory in the first Test when bad light and rain stopped play with India on 282-9.

Vaughan predicted another tough match when the teams meet again in Nottingham.

Vaughan hailed his bowling attack's performance in the drawn Test as the best for England since the 2005 Ashes series.

We have the left-arm option, the tall man of Tremlett with pace and bounce and Jimmy with the ability to swing it both ways

Vaughan had no problem with the umpires' decision to take the players off with England potentially just one ball away from winning the match.

England were without Steve Harmison, Matthew Hoggard and Andrew Flintoff, while Simon Jones and Ashley Giles remain long-term injury absentees.
