Andrew Flintoff voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2005

Preston lad Andrew Flintoff who's cricketing debut 1995 has now culminated in beeing voted BBC Sports personality of the year 2005.

The rest of the team were awarded Team of the Year 2005, as recognision of their achievement in the Ashes this summer.

Football legend Pele (Brazil) received the lifetime achievement award.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho who received coach of the year, and also presented Pele with his award.

Sebastian Coe was awarded a special one-off gong for his role in London's winning 2012 Olympic bid.

Young personality of the year went to Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (athletics).

Shane Warne (Australia) won the overseas sports personality award.
