Matthew Crompton is planning to return to work as a builder after leaving 'Coronation Street'.
The actor - who played Dan Mason in the ITV soap until he was fired earlier this year - insists he has no qualms about returning to his old job.
He said: "It won't worry me. I had a good laugh on the building site and the people were fantastic. Everyone has got to work and pay the rent. Between acting jobs, I would rather get out and do other things than sit on the dole."
It was recently revealed Matthew has reportedly been in talks to star in ITV reality show 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!'

Producers are reportedly certain the actor will soon sign a contract.
Other celebrities who have been approached to appear in the show include Donny Osmond, jockey Frankie Dettori and 'Emmerdale' star Deena Payne.
