Nicole Richie's TV book

2 months ago 14th Jul 13:00

Nicole Richie's 2005 novel 'The Truth About Diamonds' is set to be made into a TV show.

The 26-year-old star - who gave birth to daughter Harlow, her first child with fiance Joel Madden, earlier this year - is set to produce the show for US TV network E!, she revealed.

Nicole said: "I would definitely produce and definitely be in the show. I don't know if I need to be the star of this show. I've got a lot going on right now."

The novel is loosely based on Nicole's own life, and follows main character Chloe Parker and she tries to survive in young Hollywood after being adopted by a famous musician.

I would definitely produce and definitely be in the show. I don't know if I need to be the star of this show. I've got a lot going on right now.

Nicole herself was adopted by 'Hello' singer Lionel Richie, and shot to fame starring alongside Paris Hilton in reality TV show 'The Simple Life'.

Nicole is no stranger to appearing on TV shows, and recently signed up to make a guest appearance in US show 'Chuck'.

Her character will have a girl fight with Yvonne Strahovski - who plays Sarah Lisa Walker, a CIA appointed minder to title character Chuck, played by Zachary Levi - in the programme.
