Simon Cowell has been voted America's Best Villain in a new US poll.
The 'X Factor' judge - who is famous for his scathing remarks and critical put-downs - won 39 per cent of the votes in the AOL Television Reality TV Awards 2008, the results of which were compiled using a poll of over 1.3 million voters.
Simon's show 'American Idol' also won two other categories, including the prestigious Best Reality Show award and the Hottest Hook-Up prize for contestants Kimberly Caldwell and David Cook.
Paula Abdul, who sits alongside Simon on the judging panel of the US TV talent show, was voted the Worst Judge, while the Biggest Trainwreck award was won by the Hogan family - headed by wrestling legend Hulk Hogan - who appeared on reality show 'Hogan Knows Best'.
Jonathan Ross recently praised Simon, saying he was the only judge on the panel for 'Britain's Got Talent' who knew what he was talking about.
He said: "Simon Cowell knows what he's talking about, but Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, they're just a waste... What's she ever done? She's been in a couple of West End shows; she's not got much going on. And Piers Morgan has been sculpted from lard. So I'm not a fan of those shows."
