Latoya and Emilia reacted remarkably calmly to the announcement that they were up for eviction, while the rest of the housemates could not believe that there were only two of them facing the public vote.

Emilia was full of conspiracy theories to explain away the fact she was nominated. She mused: "It's possible that Mat and James have already picked people to be nominated. They were too nice, Mat was playing a character."

The house was taken over by half of hit girl group All Saints yesterday and saw Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt seize control of the housemates and decided to test how much the group actually know about their specialist subjects.

Talking to the house, the singers explained: "We've been watching you all show off your talents, but what we'd all like to see is how much you know about your area of expertise." The housemates grew excited at news of their task, dubbed 'the Brain of Big Brother'.

Following round one of the task, Calista beagin to worry about her appearance after she saw her fellow housemates on the plasma screen. The musician started getting paranoid about her looks when she commented how different some people looked on TV. She asked Emilia: "Some people looked so different, did I look the same?"They both then decided that Nathan had looked younger, while Jeremy looked a lot different, but Calista still had her own image on her mind, saying: "Latoya looked gorgeous, do I look boring and plain?"

That evening, the celebrity hijackers entered the Big Brother house this evening to hold a party for the contestants. The All Saints stars invited all of the girls plus Jay to have champagne with them, while boys Anthony, Jeremy, John and Nathan were locked in the bedroom.

Anthony was upset that he was not included in the special meeting even though he had won the "Brain of Big Brother" task, but All Saints revealed to the girls that they wanted to give them a treat for once and during this ‘girly time’ Melanie took the chance to tell Emilia face to face how well her brother Victor had come across when he was evicted. She told her: "Your brother has done so well, he's turned it around... he's such a nice guy and such a nice sibling."

The singers also took the chance to give the girls some make-up tips after Appleton declared the group to be "gorgeous" but she urged Calista to drop her reliance on heavy eyeliner. "You don't look bad, but in the day it looks nice to be more natural."
