Unusual wedding Destinations

2 months ago 05th Sep 11:27

Get married surrounded by animals
Zoos are surprisingly popular venues for weddings and receptions. Ceremonies are held in onsite conference centres, which are often in beautiful old buildings with fantastic views. At the Zoo, you can arrange evening tours of the zoo after it has closed to the public.

A wedding in the sky or on the water
If the view is the most important thing to you, you can't get much better than getting married 450 feet in the air. You can take a half hour flight on the London Eye, taking 19 guests with you and are pronounced husband and wife at the very top of the wheel.

Although you can't get married on a moving boat, you can get married on the reconstructed boat. You can then continue the theme by hiring out a boat for a floating wedding reception.

Get married in an unusual or famous building
For some unusual wedding photos, how about a wedding in a lighthouse or windmill?, although you won't be able to fit too many guests in for the ceremony.

Many football fans have famously got married in a football stadium - you can't get married on the pitch but you can have the wedding in a room looking over the stadium. You can get married in most sporting venues - for example a golf course, race course or a rugby stadium.

Other famous locations which can host civil weddings include Tower Bridge, where you can follow the wedding with a reception in the Walkways, spanning the two towers 45 metres above the Thames.
